Bryanne Chan

Physiotherapist
About me
Bkin, MPT; English
Bryanne graduated from the Master of Physical Therapy Program at the University of British Columbia. Growing up as a competitive athlete in both wushu (martial arts) and dragon boating, Bryanne spent weeks with her physiotherapist rehabilitating sports related injuries, which sparked her interest in the value of physical therapy. Throughout university, Bryanne worked for the Developmental Disabilities Association, Canucks Autism Network, and volunteered in long term care, where she developed a passion for helping people of all ages and physical/cognitive abilities. In the physical therapy program, Bryanne completed placements in a variety of private clinics and acute care settings. Her treatment philosophy focuses on empowering clients to take charge of their own health. Through manual therapy, exercise prescription, and education, Bryanne loves helping clients reach their individual goals. Outside of the clinic, you can find Bryanne running, cycling, playing volleyball, ultimate frisbee, or on the pickleball courts!

Interesting fact

I spent 12 years training and competing in Wushu, a competitive Chinese martial art, participating at both national and international levels. I also raced with a competitive dragon boating team for 10 years.

Favourite local spot

love biking down to Spanish Banks from UBC—a route that holds great memories for me. One summer, I rode along that beach every morning, and it’s still one of my favourite ways to enjoy the city.

I cannot recommend Bryanne enough! She addressed my lower back issues that I have from carrying my baby around, and gave me exercises that I can do at home. The level of care has been fantastic, and the clinic is very welcoming.

I've been seeing Bryanne, the physiotherapist, both before labor and throughout my postpartum recovery, and she has been absolutely amazing! She's very knowledgeable, professional, and supportive and she has been using various techniques to treat my shoulder, neck, and hip issues. She also sends personalized exercise instructions via email, which is super helpful—especially with my mommy brain these days!
