Our mission

To get people back to the things they quietly stopped doing.

Our story

Past, present, and future.

The founder of BLVD Wellness and Recovery at the clinic
2019 – 2024

Where the idea came from

I qualified in 2019 and spent the next five years working in a lot of different clinics. Each one taught me something about what I wanted if I ever built my own: somewhere that felt different from the traditional physiotherapy experience. Clean, modern, comfortable and approachable, without giving up anything on the quality of care.

2024

Building it himself

I was tired of treating people in rooms that looked like a hospital. Recovery is hard enough without the room reminding you of it. So I signed a lease on bare concrete and started again. Months of framing, wiring and ducting. The whole time the test was simple: would I send my own family here.

Start of a new chapter

We opened in 2025. Longer appointments, and the person who assesses you is the person who treats you. A diagnosis in plain language you can repeat to someone else, and a plan you can follow at home.

2025

The people who grew it

Along the way, practitioners started asking to join, all of them already working the way I wanted to work: treat the whole person, not just the part that hurts. It meant that when something was not mine to fix, I could refer you to someone on our own team, who I know and trust to take it from there.

Recognition of hard work

By the second year people were arriving having already tried everything else. A tendon that had not responded to rest. Headaches nobody had thought to trace to the neck. A jaw treated as a dental problem for years. If you have been told to rest it and it did not work, you are the person we built this for.

Spring 2027

Growing to meet demand

Growth is never easy and it comes with its share of risk. But I kept hearing the same thing: how far they had come, and how long they had been looking. If they were that committed, I should be too. So here we are again, hard hats on, staring at bare concrete. Built to the same test as the first: would I send my own family here.

See you soon, Burquitlam.

Our values

A clinic that holds up.

[B] Balance

Treating the whole person, not just the part that hurts. A shoulder that will not settle might be a sleep problem, a desk setup, or a training load you ramped too fast. We assess for all of it, so your plan reflects what we actually find rather than the one thing you walked in describing.

[L] Longevity

Care that holds up. Relief is the easy part, and most pain quiets down on its own for a while. The work that matters is rebuilding the capacity that failed in the first place, which is why treatment here moves from hands-on care toward loading and strength before we sign you off.

[V] Vitality

Getting you back to full capacity. Not simply free of pain, but back to the things you quietly stopped doing. We set the goal as the specific activity you are missing, whether that is a return to sport, lifting your kid without bracing, or sleeping through the night, and we measure against it.

[D] Dedication

One team, invested in your outcome. Your practitioners share your history, so you are not re-explaining your injury at every appointment. You get honest timelines too, including the times we tell you that what you need is not something we should be treating.

How we work

Your first visit, step by step

Recovery usually stalls at the handoff. You retell your history to someone new, get advice that contradicts what you heard last week, and start again from the beginning. Here is how a first visit runs instead.

01

Forty five minutes, not fifteen

We take a detailed health and injury history, then assess strength, flexibility, joint movement and the functional tasks you actually care about, like walking and lifting.

02

A diagnosis in plain language

We explain what we found and why, without the jargon, before any treatment starts. You should be able to repeat it to someone else.

03

Treatment, then a plan you keep

Hands-on or exercise treatment begins the same visit, and you leave with a personalised home programme emailed to you, with videos and timelines.

04

One plan, however many practitioners

If your recovery needs more than one discipline, the next practitioner picks up your plan rather than restarting it. You are not the one carrying information between rooms.
